US execution of Fort Hood shooter will be broadcast live, anonymous Defense Department officials told BBC and Associated Press. The planned execution of Nidal Hasan, the former US Army major convicted of killing 13 people at a Texas military base, was announced this week. He is scheduled to be executed by firing squad on December 3 at 2 pm Eastern Time.
The edge has reached out to YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Meta, Rumble, and Kick to ask if they plan to allow the live stream to be broadcast on their platforms. None responded before publication.
“We’re going to make sure that people can see it, that it’s public, because people need to understand that these kinds of things have serious consequences,” US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said in an interview with The true voice of America.
