Meta will now allow you to create custom app-like experiences within Muse. The new feature, called “spaces,” allows its AI assistant to create things like a shopping center, a school dashboard, a music tracker, a trivia game, and more, which you can interact with right in the Muse app.
Meta says that you can create a new space by describing it. If you connect an external app to Muse, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, OpenTable, Notion, and others that Muse works with, the AI assistant will continually pull information from them, allowing you to update prices, dates, and other information in your background space. You can also interact with elements within your spaces by marking things, adding notes, and making edits.
You can also change the location of your spaces in the Muse app, as Meta allows you to keep them in the sidebar, move them to your main tab, or schedule when you see them. “For example, keep your weekly schedule during the work week and then change it to your weekend plans on Saturday,” says Meta.
Meta also announced that it will bring new “Active Memory” and “Active Focus” capabilities from its Muse Wonder AI model to the Muse app and its Meta AI chatbot. This will allow Muse to understand when past information becomes relevant during conversations and improve its work to achieve your goals.
Meta is rolling out spaces to all Muse users. The company is also looking for ways to share its spaces with other users and collaborate with them.
