Apple closed out its week of product announcements with a “Pro and Tell” event on Wednesday, where it unveiled its long-rumored touchscreen MacBook Pro. While Apple may have saved its biggest and most exciting update for last, it did reveal a few other updates and device upgrades in the days leading up to its big reveal. We have gathered them all here.

Apple CEO John Ternus revealed the company’s first MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, which allows you to perform on-screen gestures such as scrolling, swiping and pinching. The company says the touch sensor is “integrated directly into the display panel,” not on top of it, which helps reduce latency.
The device also offers a tandem OLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,000 nits of brightness. It’s also lighter than previous MacBook Pro models: the 14-inch model weighs three pounds. The device also brings back the illuminated Apple logo on its lid and is the first to come with a dynamic island for viewing real-time updates, searching for files, and using Siri AI.
The MacBook Pro with PROLED The touchscreen MacBook is available for pre-order starting today and will be available starting November 6.

Apple has updated its iPad Mini with a larger 8.5-inch OLED display. The device is just 5.4mm thick and has 24 percent thinner bezels than the previous generation. It also comes with a new “Display Acoustics,” which Apple says includes woofers paired across the display for better bass and more volume.
Along with these updates, the iPad Mini also comes with Apple’s most powerful A20 Pro chip, a 12-megapixel camera in landscape orientation, and an IP67 rating for protection against water and dust. The iPad Mini starts at $699 with Wi-Fi only and 128GB of storage, and comes in “midnight” and “starlight” colors. There’s also an option for a nano-texture screen that reduces reflections with the more expensive 256GB and 512GB configurations.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro now comes with Apple’s new M6 chip, along with the company’s internal N1 networking chip that adds support for Wi-FI 7 and Bluetooth 6. The device also has three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports with support for DisplayPort charging and connectivity, ports for MagSafe 3 and HDMI, as well as an SDXC memory card slot.
Like its predecessor, the MacBook Pro M6 also offers a Liquid Retina XDR display with a nano-texture option, as well as a 12MP Center Stage camera. You can pre-order the new MacBook Pro today, which starts at $1,999 with a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. Devices begin shipping on November 6.
Apple’s latest line of iMacs also comes with the company’s new M6 chip, which the company says “delivers up to 5x faster on-device AI performance” than the previous M4-powered iMac. It also features Apple’s new N1 wireless networking chip.
Not much else has changed with the iMac M6, offering the same design and color variations as its predecessor. It also comes with up to four Thunderbolt ports. The iMac M6 starts at $1,499 with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, 16GB of memory, 256GB of storage, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Pre-orders open today and availability begins November 6.

Apple is updating Keynote, Numbers, and Pages with an artificial intelligence chatbot that the company says can understand the context of the document you’re working on. The chatbot is built using models from Apple and OpenAI, allowing it to do things like design and animate slides in Keynote; create and restructure drafts in Pages; and calculate and visualize data in Numbers.
The company will also bring an AI-powered fill feature to Pixelmator Pro, a new AI assistant in Logic Pro, and direct access to MotionVFX in Final Cut Pro.
