Apple smart home products coming in 2026
Apple appears to be preparing a major expansion of its smart home lineup, and several new devices are reportedly close to launch. The products are expected to make much greater use of Siri AI, whose current HomePod and Apple TV hardware lacks the processing power to fully support it.
HomePod mini 2

The HomePod mini is finally expected to get its first major hardware upgrade since the original model launched in 2020. The biggest change is likely to be a more powerful processor capable of supporting Apple’s new Siri AI features.
Recent references found in Apple’s code also point to updated colors, with black, blue, green, pink and white apparently replacing the current selection. Previous reports have also suggested updated wireless hardware, which could include Apple’s own networking chip and new Ultra Wideband technology.
Reports suggest that the new HomePod mini could arrive before the end of 2026.
HomePad Smart Home Hub
Apple is also reportedly preparing an entirely new smart home device, often called HomePad. It is expected to feature a roughly 7-inch square display and act as a central controller for HomeKit accessories, while also supporting FaceTime calling, music, widgets, and Siri AI.
Reports suggest that Apple has developed speaker-based and wall-mounted versions. The interface could combine elements of watchOS and tvOS, with visible widgets and controls designed specifically for use at home.

HomePod with screen
Apple has also linked up with a more advanced HomePod with a built-in display. This is sometimes referred to in reports as the HomePod Touchalthough that is not an official Apple name.
Unlike the HomePad, which would primarily function as a standalone smart home hub, this device is expected to combine a traditional HomePod speaker with a touchscreen. Reports have also described more ambitious versions with a screen mounted on a robotic arm, although they appear to be further away.
Because several different prototypes and form factors have been reported, it’s possible that some of these rumors refer to different generations of the same broader product rather than several separate devices.
Apple TV
A new Apple TV is expected with a faster processor capable of supporting Siri AI and improved wireless connectivity. Apple’s operating system code has already included Apple Intelligence frameworks for future Apple TV and HomePod hardware, suggesting the upcoming models will have significantly more capable chips than the current generation.
