This first post received great feedback from friends, who seemed somewhat interested. “I would try!” someone said. “I love a candid review,” said another.
But some people seemed to notice that the tone was a little… strange. “Excellent content, thanks for sharing,” another friend commented dryly. “Is this an #ad?” asked a former coworker.
The most exciting thing is that the official Goldfish brand cookie account commented: “I love that you like it 🧡🔥.”
Then I tried a photo of Sour Patch Kids flavored Trident Vibes gum. (I found it unbearable; my 6 year old son loved it.) My AI degree:
I recently tried the new “sour patch kids” gum flavor and unfortunately it wasn’t for me. The flavor was too strong and didn’t really convince me. I think I’ll stick with the classic flavors for now, but if you’re feeling adventurous, give it a try and let me know what you think!
Got some comments like “The vibes are off.” However, no one seemed to notice, and since it wasn’t a positive review, it didn’t feel like an advertisement.
A few days later, I reviewed Starry, Pepsi’s new lemon-lime soda that replaced Sierra Mist. To make it look less like a robot, I used a photo of me holding the bottle. This time I asked ParagraphAI to write an Instagram caption in the tone of a food influencer.
I just tried this new soda called Starry and have been seeing it in stores lately! Unfortunately it wasn’t for me. I’m sure it’s great for someone else, but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. Oh well, you can’t win them all! #starsoda #TryIt #NotMyThing
I think the hashtags gave away that something was wrong, because what kind of normal person uses hashtags like this? “Are you OK?” a co-worker asked. Others imitated the language of AI. “I’ve heard Starry is pretty polarizing,” said another friend who works at an advertising agency that works with PepsiCo. “It’s interesting to know your opinion, thanks for your opinion.”
Until now, it seemed that ParagraphAI was very capable of creating a readable and understandable caption for Instagram with a very basic message. The results did not seem mebut I could see how this could be useful for writing marketing copy for social media.
