Everything is more expensive these days, including Macs. Higher prices have an effect on our purchasing habits, so you may be more inclined to take advantage of a sale price as soon as you see one, rather than waiting for a better deal. After all, there is a good chance that prices will rise again, as the supply shortage will not subside anytime soon.
Today is the last day of Amazon’s fall sales event, and that includes Macs. We weren’t expecting much, but you can save a good amount of change on many Mac models during the event, and there are some Macs that are actually really good deals. Here are the Amazon Mac deals you should take advantage of before time runs out.

Mac mini M6

When Apple launched the Mac mini M6, it raised prices on top of the June increases, bringing the base model to a dismal $899. But today, Amazon is selling the base M6 Mac mini for $780, a savings of $119 (13 percent) over Apple’s price. It only has 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, which probably isn’t enough for AI development, but you can also save up to $150 on models with more storage and memory, so check it out.

Amazon is offering $200 off the MacBook Air M5, a great deal that brings the price back to what Apple originally charged. We expect an upgrade to the M6 within the next six months, but even if the price remains the same, you’ll be paying the regular price for that laptop at least until Amazon’s July Prime Day event. Plus, the M6’s 20 percent performance increase over the M5 doesn’t have the same value as before, so you can take advantage of this Amazon deal before time runs out.
The $200 price cut doesn’t just apply to the base 16GB/512GB SSD model. You can also save $200 on models with 24GB of RAM or a 1TB SSD, in any of the Air colors. Nice!

We don’t really recommend the M5 MacBook Pro even on sale, but the higher-end MacBook Pro models on Amazon offer greater savings. For example, the 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 Pro with 24GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD costs $2,699, a savings of $300. Another example: the 16-inch MacBook Pro M5 Max with 36GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD costs $3,899, $500 less than the regular price.
Now, you might be waiting for the MacBook Pro’s impending OLED refresh, which could happen soon. Although rumors say it will be lighter and feature Apple’s first touchscreen on a Mac, be prepared to pay a lot for it: it will be expensive. Since it’s a brand new laptop, we don’t expect it to go on sale for long, and in the meantime, you can have a speedy new MacBook Pro and save a lot of time.

I’m not the biggest fan of the low-profile feel of Apple’s Magic Mouse, but I’ll admit, the black Magic Mouse is amazing. It’s now on sale for $79 on Amazon, which is $20 off, along with the black Magic Trackpad for $130 (MSRP $149). Unfortunately, the black Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad doesn’t get the same sales treatment if you’re looking to complete the set.
