Am a visual artist. Almost every aspect of my life is driven by the desire to create, no matter the medium, from DIY projects to cosplay and elaborate facial makeupI’m constantly doing something new. I’m always interested in experimenting with new techniques, tools and technology, so naturally I’m fascinated by AI art generators. While I am aware of the current discourse surrounding the art of AI, including demands and ethical debates, my curiosity is much stronger than my apprehension about it.

That’s why I decided to let AI choose my makeup over the course of five days. For the sake of consistency, I used the Dream by Wombo app to create all the looks shown below. (I also chose this app because there is a 200 character limit per message and I liked the challenge of shorter messages.) While I did my best to faithfully recreate the look and feel of the AI images, I took human liberties based on the supplies I had on hand and my own whims. This is what I created with the help of a machine.
