Google parent company Alphabet says its investments in artificial intelligence are driving strong year-over-year search growth, as noted today in its third-quarter 2026 results.
“Our investments in artificial intelligence are driving overall growth in search queries, including business queries,” CEO Sundar Pichai says in a statement. “In fact, our year-over-year inquiry growth rate is the highest it has been in five years.”
Alphabet’s consolidated revenue for the quarter was $127.6 billion, up 25 percent year over year, and its revenue from “Google Search and Others” increased 12 percent year over year. Google Cloud revenue also increased 103 percent year over year to $30.7 billion. Alphabet also says it has surpassed 150 million YouTube Music and Premium subscribers worldwide, although that figure includes testing.
