Meta now lets you create your own Muse devices that feature the company’s new AI agent with open source code. The company suggests projects like loading Muse onto a color E Ink display to display reminders, adding it to an HDMI device so you can display Muse on a large screen, or placing Muse on a small touchscreen device to create what looks like a DIY Muse Charm.

“Muse gadgets are open source devices that you build yourself,” says Meta. “Program an off-the-shelf ESP32 board or configure a Raspberry Pi with our SDKs, then connect Muse to your displays, buttons, sensors, actuators, and anything else you have on your workbench.” However, Meta warns that you should “Continue at your own risk!”

The company is also giving away a Muse Home Link device that it created itself. With Muse Home Link, you use community-created skills to let the AI agent “turn on a light, control your TV, send a document to a printer, and more, depending on your settings,” Meta says. It made 5,000 of these devices, according to Nat Friedman of Meta Superintelligence Labs, and can now claim a spot on the waiting list for the Muse Home Link before it ships sometime this month.
