The map is built from around 1.5 billion Reddit comments, generating a more nuanced and accurate picture of relationships rather than an algorithmic guess about which topics go together. And you might be surprised at how some of the neighbors are ones you’d never predict—looking at them curiously on the Twitter and FBI subreddits.
The map is completely interactive, so you can click and drag to move around, zoom in, or use the search bar to find a specific subreddit. Clicking on a community spot will give you more information and links to all related subreddits.
Personally, I’ve used it to discover a ton of subreddits dedicated to hobbies I didn’t even know existed. Have you ever heard of r/BirdsWithArms? Or how about r/HaveWeMet?
Reddit is a weird and wonderful place, but sometimes you need a map to find your way.
